Arriving from the countries with a high risk of COVID-19 transmission

When arriving from risky places, fill in the arrival form and undergo the RT-PCR test for COVID-19 at your own expense.

According to point 1 (only in Czech) The Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic orders:

Countries with low risk (green countries) and medium risk of infection (orange countries):

According to point I/A, the Ministry of Health stipulates:

1. to all persons who have stayed for more than 12 hours in the past 14 days in countries or territories on the COVID-19 list of low- or medium-risk countries or territories,

a) complete an Arrival Form before entering the Czech Republic,

(b) have an RT-PCR test result before entering the Czech Republic;

(c) submit, on request at border or residence control, proof of completion of the Arrival Form, the result of a test for SARS-CoV-2, or written proof that the person concerned is exempted under this protection measure,

(d) undergo an RT-PCR test between the 5th and 7th day after entering the Czech Republic, if the person is still residing in the Czech Republic, unless the public health authority has decided otherwise on an exceptional basis,

(e) at all times when leaving the place of residence or accommodation, wear a respirator or similar device (without an exhalation valve) fulfilling at least all technical conditions and requirements (for the product), including a filtration efficiency of at least 94 % according to the relevant standards (e.g. FFP2, CN 95), until the negative result of the RTPCR test referred to in point d);

the definition of the Arrival Form is given in section III.2 and the test requirements in section III.3;

2. that the obligations set out in point I.1 do not apply to the persons referred to in point I.5; exceptions to the sub-obligations are set out in points I.6 to I.12;

Arrivals from countries at high (red countries) and very high risk of infection (dark red countries):

According to point I/B, the Ministry of Health stipulates:

3. all persons who have stayed more than 12 hours in the last 14 days in countries or territories on the list of countries or territories at high or very high risk of COVID-19,

a) complete an Arrival Form before entering the Czech Republic,

(b) have an RT-PCR test result before entering the Czech Republic;

(c) submit, on request at border or residence control, proof of completion of the Arrival Form, the result of a SARS-CoV-2 test or written proof that the person concerned is exempted under this protection measure,

(d) undergo an RT-PCR test between the 5th and 7th day after entering the Czech Republic, if the person is still residing in the Czech Republic, unless the public health authority has decided otherwise on an exceptional basis,

(e) at all times when leaving the place of residence or accommodation, wear a respirator or similar device (without an exhalation valve) fulfilling at least all technical conditions and requirements (for the product), including a filtration efficiency of at least 94 % according to the relevant standards (e.g. FFP2, CN 95), until the negative result of the RTPCR test referred to in point (d);

the definition of the Arrival Form is given in section III.2 and the test requirements in section III.3;

4. that the obligations set out in point I.3 do not apply to persons referred to in point I.5; exceptions to the sub-obligations are set out in points I.6 to I.12.

THESE CONDITIONS FOR ENTRY INTO THE CZECH REPUBLIC DO NOT APPLY TO:

According to point I/C, the Ministry of Health stipulates:

C.a) Exceptions to all anti-epidemic measures under this safeguard measure

5. that the obligations resulting from the established anti-epidemic measures under this protection measure that apply to arrivals from countries with a low, medium, high, and very high risk of COVID-19 do not apply to

(a) international transport workers provided that the reason for entry is supported by appropriate documentation,

(b) persons authorized to enter the Czech Republic who

(i) are in transit for up to 12 hours through the Czech Republic by land,

(ii) are traveling by land to or from the Czech Republic for a period not exceeding 12 hours, unless the journey commenced between 30.12.2021 and 1.1.2022; in the case of journeys from third countries with a very high risk of infection, travel to the Czech Republic under this point may be made only for the reason of necessary travel as referred to in point III.10 lett. a) to f),

(iii) traveling by land directly to or from neighboring countries for a period not exceeding 24 hours, unless the travel commenced between 30.12.2021 and 1.1.2022;

c) accredited members of diplomatic missions in the Czech Republic, including private service persons, holders of service passports issued by the Czech Republic, and holders of diplomatic passports traveling to or from the Czech Republic on official business and officials of international organizations registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs traveling to or from the Czech Republic on official business, provided that their stay on or outside the territory does not exceed 72 hours,

d) minors with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, cognitive disorder, or severe mental alteration whose mental abilities or current mental state do not allow compliance with this protection measure and who have a written medical certificate to this effect issued in English by a physician operating in the Czech Republic or in another Member State of the European Union; the certificate must contain a stamp, the physician's identification data and his/her telephone number,

(e) cross-border workers, pupils, and students who regularly cross the state border with the Czech Republic to or from a neighboring state for the purpose of work or education, and for traveling to or from a neighboring state for the purpose of exercising the right of care or access to a minor child or for the purpose of visiting a spouse or registered partner who is employed or studying in the neighboring state,

(f) members of the Prison Service or police officers carrying out escort activities or security escorts for aircraft,

(g) cross-border cooperation in the context of an intervention by the integrated rescue system,

(h) children up to the age of 12 years;

C. b) Exceptions to certain anti-epidemic measures under this safeguard measure

(6) That only vaccinated persons with a national certificate of vaccination completion, vaccinated persons with a national certificate of vaccination completion, and persons who have had COVID-19

(a) the obligation to complete an Arrival Form before entering the Czech Republic,

(b) have the result of the RT-PCR test before entering the Czech Republic;

(c) to show, on request at border or residence control, proof of completion of the Arrival Form, the result of the SARS-CoV-2 test or written proof that the person concerned is exempted under this protection measure;

who is considered to be a person under this point is specified in point III of this safeguard measure;

7. that for vaccinated persons with a national certificate of completed vaccination who have received a booster dose of vaccine and for vaccinated persons with a national certificate of completed vaccination who have received a booster dose of vaccine, only

(a) the obligation to complete an Arrival Form before entering the Czech Republic and

(b) to produce proof of completion of the Arrival Form on request at border or residence control;

such persons shall also be deemed to include children from 12 years of age until they reach the age of 18 years who are vaccinated persons with a national certificate of vaccination or vaccinated persons with a national certificate of completed vaccination under this protection measure;

8. that, in the case of citizens of the Czech Republic and their accompanying family members with a temporary residence permit issued by the Czech Republic, or citizens of the European Union with a temporary residence certificate issued by the Czech Republic, or foreigners with a long-term or permanent residence permit issued by the Czech Republic, the following shall apply:

(a) in the case of arrival by public transport, only the result of the RAT test may be available before entry into the Czech Republic instead of the result of the RT-PCR test,

(b) in the case of arrival by individual land transport, the obligation to have a SARS-CoV-2 test prior to arrival shall not apply,

(c) if they are vaccinated persons with a national certificate of vaccination, vaccinated persons with a national certificate of completed vaccination or persons who have had COVID-19 disease, the obligations set out in point I.7 shall apply; and

(d) if they are not vaccinated persons with a national certificate of vaccination, vaccinated persons with a national certificate of vaccination completion, or persons who have had COVID-19, they are subject to:

(i) all the obligations before and after arrival in the Czech Republic as set out in point I.3, with exceptions as set out in Part C for travel from countries with a high or very high risk of COVID-19,

(ii) the obligation to complete an Arrival Form before entering the Czech Republic, to undergo an RT-PCR or RAT test before entering the Czech Republic, or, at the latest within 5 days after entering the Czech Republic if the person is still residing in the Czech Republic, and to provide proof of completion of the Arrival Form or written proof that the person is exempted under this safeguard measure upon request at border or residence control, with exceptions under part C;

9. that in the case of travel by public transport directly to or from neighboring countries for a period not exceeding 24 hours, only the obligation to have a test result, which may be the result of the RAT test, prior to travel applies; for travel commencing between 30.12.2021 and 1.1.2022, this applies only to the persons referred to in point I.8;

10. that the obligation to have the result of the RT-PCR test before travel does not apply to holders of a diplomatic note issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stating that it is impossible to secure a test for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus outside the Czech Republic;

11. that the obligation to fill in an Arrival Form before entering the territory of the Czech Republic and to present proof of completion of the Arrival Form upon request at border or residence control does not apply to persons traveling for the entire duration of their journey by individual land transport only;

12. that critical infrastructure service personnel whose performance of their activities is in the interest of the Czech Republic are not subject to the obligation to undergo a test on the territory of the Czech Republic; however, they are required to wear a respirator or similar device (without an exhalation valve) fulfilling at least all technical conditions and requirements (for the product), including a filtration efficiency of at least 94% according to the relevant standards (e.g. FFP2, CN 95), at all times when leaving the place of accommodation, for a period of 14 days after entering the territory of the Czech Republic.
