Measures for passengers arriving from the People's Republic of China

If you are not a citizen of the Czech Republic or a family member of a citizen (temporary or permanent resident) and you have been in the PRC for at least 12 hours in the last 14 days, you must present a negative result of a covid test, not older than 48

Effective January 16, 2023, at 12:00 a.m. until January 31, 2023, at 11:59 p.m., the Ministry of Health

under I. is hereby ordered

1. To all persons, except those listed in point I.2, who have stayed more than 12 hours in the last 14 days in the territory of the People's Republic of China

(a) before entering the territory of the Czech Republic, have the result of an RT-PCR or RAT test for the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus or its antigen,

(b) provide, on request at border or residence control, the result of a test for SARS-CoV-2 or its antigen or written proof that the person concerned is exempted under this protection measure,

the definition and requirements of a test for the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus or its antigen are set out in point II.1;

2. that the obligations referred to in point I.1 do not apply to

(a) citizens of the Czech Republic and their travelling family members who have been issued with a permit for temporary or permanent residence in the territory of the Czech Republic; and

(b) citizens of the European Union with a certificate of temporary residence or a permit for permanent residence in the territory of the Czech Republic issued by the Czech Republic and their family members travelling with a permit for temporary or permanent residence in the territory of the Czech Republic;

3. that the obligations referred to in point I.1. do not apply to

a) international transport workers, provided that an appropriate document supports the reason for entry,

b) accredited members of diplomatic missions in the Czech Republic, including private officials, holders of service passports issued by the Czech Republic and holders of diplomatic passports travelling to or from the Czech Republic on official business and officials of international organisations registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs travelling to or from the Czech Republic on official business, provided that their stay in or outside the territory does not exceed 72 hours,

c) members of the Prison Service or police officers performing escort activities or security escort of aircraft,

(d) children up to the age of 12 years;

4. carriers carrying out international air transport of persons who transport persons to the Czech Republic are not to allow the transport of passengers who do not fulfil the obligations set out in point I.1 unless they are persons who are exempted under this safeguard measure;

according to II.

1. that a test for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus or its antigen means a written certificate issued by a person authorised to carry out this test in the country in which it was carried out, stating a negative result of a rapid antigen test (RAT) or RT-PCR test, which is not older than 48 hours from the date of the test,

2. that, in addition to the Member States of the European Union, the Principality of Andorra, the Republic of Iceland, the Principality of Liechtenstein, the Principality of Monaco, the Kingdom of Norway, the Republic of San Marino, the Swiss Confederation and the Vatican City State shall be considered as the Member States of the European Union for this safeguard measure,

3. that for this safeguard measure, the term 'written confirmation' shall be understood to mean both in paper form (original or plain copy) and in electronic form, provided that it contains the name, surname and date of birth or travel document number of the specific addressee; a written confirmation in electronic form cannot be submitted in the form of a text message.
