COVID-CULTURE / AUDIO-VISION was prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT) in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture.

Its aim is to provide support in the form of a contribution to the activities of performers and professional artistic and technical professions in the film industry as well as for other entities such as cinema operators, production companies and distribution companies.

The subsidy cannot be combined with the previous COVID-Culture program nor with the autumn compensatory bonus for the self-employed. It is possible to combine it with the spring compensation bonus and the "Nursing" program for the self-employed.

Purpose/conditions: It will be possible to apply for subsidy only once and only in one of the six categories. In addition to the general rules, for example, the applicant must be a taxpayer in the Czech Republic, specific conditions apply.

The maximum amount of support: One-time support for self-employed persons is  60,000 CZK. Legal entities are able to receive compensation of a maximum of  5 million CZK.

Decisive period: For natural persons, it is from 1 May 2020 to 31 December 2020. For legal persons, it is from 1 October 2019 to 31 December. 2020.

Deadlines for application: starting from March 1, 2021, till May 4, 2021.

Method of submission: Through the information system accessible from the AIS MIT Portal. Pay attention! Before working on the portal, it is necessary to establish an active identity of a physical person (account), the so-called e-Identity. Applications can be submitted, modified and evaluated, but the release of grant funds will be possible only after the notification of the Program by the European Commission, which is still ongoing. All necessary confirmations and forms are prepared for the applicant in the information system.

There is no legal right to the subsidy. The program ends on December 31, 2021.
