CURRENTLY: On March 24th, the Ministry of the Environment announced an increase in the subsidy to CZK 80 million.
This program aims to contribute to the fulfillment of the mission of zoos, which is, in accordance with Council Directive 1999/22 /ES, on the keeping of wild animals in zoos, an effort to contribute to the conservation of wild biodiversity by keeping them in human care, with special regard to the conservation of endangered species, as well as the education of the public for the protection of nature.
Purpose/conditions for drawing: The subsidy program "ZOO contribution" is intended for all 29 licensed zoos in the Czech Republic, in particular, to contribute to the animal feeding expenses up to a total of CZK 80 million crowns. For smaller zoos, this means support from the ministry up to hundreds of thousands of Czech crowns, for larger zoos, it is up to millions of Czech crowns. Applications will be submitted electronically in a simple administrative regime and will be assessed immediately, in a matter of days.
The maximum amount of support: A total of CZK 80 million crowns will be distributed. Smaller zoos can therefore receive hundreds of thousands of Czech crowns, larger zoos up to millions of crowns. However, up to a maximum of 80% of the total expenditure on feeding.
Receipt of applications: March 1st to March 31st 2021.
