The infected person is advised to follow the rules of isolation, you can read more about it here.
Running a household
Allocate a separate room for the Covid-19 positive household member during his/her illness. Ideally, he or she should also have a separate bathroom.
If a separate room cannot be provided, then it is important that beds are placed at least 1 metre apart and the room is regularly ventilated.
To minimise the risk of transmission to other members of the household, the infected person is advised to go to the common areas of the house wearing a respirator without an exhalation valve.
The infected person should always go to the bathroom last and should use his/her own towel, and the bathroom should be disinfected.
Also regularly disinfect things that you touch frequently (e.g. door handles, TV remote control, etc.).
Waste management is equally important. Used masks, respirators or gloves should be placed in a special bag and separated from other waste. The Ministry of the Environment provides detailed instructions on its website. Detailed instructions can be found on the Ministry of Environment websites (only in Czech).
