Masks in schools

Rules and recommendations

In kindergartens, children do not have to wear masks or respirators.

High schools

During internships outside of school, students must follow the rules that apply to employees in that workplace.

Universities and colleges

Students must wear a respirator without an exhalation valve with a filtration efficiency of at least 94% (class FFP2 / KN 95) only if they are not seated.

Persons staying in dormitories, and youth homes must wear a respirator or surgical mask in all common areas, this is not necessary in the rooms.
