Rules for wearing face masks and respirators

There is currently no nationwide measure requiring the mandatory wearing of respirators or face masks.

However, some health and social care facilities may introduce increased hygiene measures and require the wearing of respirators as part of the organisation's internal policy. Given the greater vulnerability of persons in these facilities, any rules and restrictions related to covid-19 must be strictly followed.

Wearing respirators is also recommended on public transport, especially if you are experiencing symptoms of respiratory disease. Please remember that by wearing a respirator, you are not only protecting yourself but, more importantly, others.
