Recommendations and Regulations
Obligation to cover your mouth and nose – especially with a face mask, a respirator or a scarf – applies also while in a car.
Within the obligation of wearing a face mask, there are some exemptions. The face mask does not need to be worn while driving alone or while being in the car with people who live in the same household. The face mask does not need to be worn by children under the age of 3 and by people who cannot wear a face covering because of a serious mental illness or intellectual impairment.
Obligation to wear a face mask includes any journeys via your own car, business vehicles, taxis or car-sharing (services such as Uber, Bolt etc.).
