Rules and recommendations
Foreigners who have been granted a relevant residence permit and are admitted to studies can travel to the Czech Republic.
Students who have spent more than 12 hours (24 hours in the case of neighboring countries) are required to prove they have taken a test or show that they are exempt before entering the school. Until then, they may not enter the school. This does not apply to those who have had a covid-19 disease in the last 180 days and those who have been vaccinated in a EU+ country and at least 14 days have passed since the complete vaccination. If you are traveling from a low or medium risk country and can and will take the test after you arrive in the country, you may attend school until the test result is available, but you must wear only a respirator or other protective device without an exhalation valve and with a filtration efficiency of at least 94% (FFP2/CN 95 class) at all times. You may use this form of PCR results or this form of antigen results.
The student is also obliged to inform the school if he/she goes for more than 12 hours (in the case of neighboring countries the period is 24 hours) to a country with a low, medium, high, very high risk, or extreme risk of infection.
Cross-border students and pupils who cross the border into the Czech Republic at least once a week are not obliged to register electronically, test or quarantine.
Students from all countries (including countries with an extremely high risk of infection) can apply for long-term visas and long-term stays in order to study at a university in the Czech Republic and can come to the Czech Republic if all conditions are met.
A school that has accepted a foreigner for educational purposes is obliged to provide him accommodation for the entire period of stay in the Czech Republic, health care for the entire period of stay, and its payment and return to the country of origin in case of loss of purpose.
