Citizens of the Czech Republic, foreigners with a residence permit issued by the Czech Republic, EU+ citizens, and foreigners with a long-term or permanent residence permit in EU+ countries may enter the Czech Republic for any reason, including tourism. Applications for visas and temporary and permanent stays cannot be accepted at embassies in third countries that are not on the low-risk list. There are exceptions to this prohibition, which can be found in the current measure. An exception is also made for persons who hold a national certificate of vaccination. Applications for visas and temporary and permanent stays at Czech embassies in third countries can be accepted from them. Which certificates are recognized can be found in the Possibilities and obligations of foreigners entering the Czech Republic. These persons can also be granted a visa if they applied for it before 23 August 2021, unless it is a country with an extreme risk of infection.
All visa applications and stays that are made in countries whose measures do not allow it must, with minimal exceptions, be interrupted.
