Rules and Recommendations
Free movement in the Czech Republic is limited at the moment. However, there are certain exceptions related to these measures. Between 21:00 and 04:59, free movement is permitted for people:
- commuting to work,
- carrying out activities related to safety, health protection, public infrastructure or supply and delivery service,
- walking the dog up to a maximum distance of 500 meters from home.
You can also leave your residence between 9 o'clock in the evening and 5 o'clock in the morning for urgent reasons (e.g. a visit to a hospital, floods, etc.).
In the period from 5:00 to 20:59, free movement is allowed in several cases. These are, for example, work commuting, family or close person visit (a close person is one whose suffering you would feel like your own, it can be for example your girlfriend/boyfriend), provision of basic needs (e. g. buying food, medicine or pet supplies), post office and relevant authorities visit or travels for a purpose of individual spiritual care. You can also go for a nature walk, visit our own cottages or commute to school. Find the complete list here.
Please bear in mind that you should leave home only in necessary cases and limit contact with people to a minimum.
Also, be aware that it is possible to stay in publicly accessible places with a maximum of 2 people and it is necessary to keep a distance of at least 2 meters from the others. This does not apply to household members (the person you live with), or for example co-workers/colleagues, in this case, they may be more than two.
