Census 2021 will be for the very first held online. The online form will be ready to fulfil from the 27th of March to the 11th of April 2021 (the deadline has been extended due to technical issues in the first days of the online census). After this period, the paper form must be fulfilled from the 17th of April until the 11th of May 2021.

Census is mandatory for all individuals with a permanent or temporary stay over 90 days in the Czech Republic and individuals who have been granted asylum in the Czech Republic (or who have been granted subsidiary protection or temporary protection. It includes also other persons who are in the decisive moment (midnight from Friday 26th March to Saturday 27th March 2021) present within the territory of the Czech Republic. Only foreigners staying in the Czech Republic for less than 90 days (e. g. tourists) and foreigners enjoying privileges of the diplomatic corps and immunity are not obliged to get counted.

Census 2021 will be organized on the website www.scitani.cz where you can find all relevant information including FAQ and instructions on how to get yourself counted for example via mobile app Sčítání21.
