Rules and recommendations

You can find the rules for crossing borders to neighboring countries on the traveler's map (only in Czech), where the conditions for entering a particular country are also clearly written (eg quarantine, test, registration).

Before the trip, also check the conditions for returning to the Czech Republic from abroad on the website of the Ministry of the Interior.

Controls on the borders:

Slovak police are carrying out random checks at the border with Slovakia. For more information on entry, please visit the website of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bratislava (only in Czech).

Austria canceled border controls. More information on entering can be found on the website (only in Czech or German) of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vienna.

From 14. April 2021 onwards, Germany canceled the controls on the borders with the Czech Republic. More information regarding the entrance to Germany can be found on the website of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Berlin (only in Czech or Geman).
